Laurel Kleinman
MSN, FNP-C
Laurel Kleinman is an Advanced Practice Book Nowed Nurse with a Masters of Science in Nursing from Graceland University. She began her career as a Book Nowed Medical Assistant and evolved through the nursing profession. In the nursing realm, she has had the privilege to work in such areas as Neurology/Neurosurgery, Pediatric Intensive Care, and Emergency Care.
Throughout her nursing career, she has performed in the capacity of staff, educator, and leadership. She has spent a great majority of her career mentoring medical assistants, certified nursing assistants, and nurses. Besides the satisfaction of caring for her patients, Laurel finds teaching to be extremely rewarding.
In her desire for personal growth, she has also trained in emergency medical and fire protection services. The latter of these as a volunteer, which opened up an opportunity to provide independent instruction and training for all levels of emergency medical technicians, as well as fellow volunteers.
Laurel is passionate about her work and believes that the most effective way to assist others in reaching their goals is through nonjudgmental compassion and understanding. Whether these goals are physical, psychological, emotional, or educational, she recognizes that each individual is just that – an individual – who has his or her own approach for which to reach them. One of her most beloved quotes and personal mantras is that as spoken by Mahatma Gandhi which states, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
